Proprietary method The KeptIndex process was designed by Kept Index LLC. A U.S. patent application for the process is in preparation. Publishing the rules below lets anyone check our work; it is not a licence to use the process.

Companies regularly announce dated commitments: a product will ship this quarter, a plant will open next year, a deal will close by summer. These dates shape decisions by investors, lenders, customers, suppliers and employees, yet few people go back to check whether they were met.

KeptIndex keeps that record. It notes what a company said, the deadline it gave and the source, then checks public evidence after the deadline and records the outcome. Over time this builds a history of how often announced dates hold, company by company.

The record is neutral by design. It shows what was said and what the public record showed afterwards, with links to both, and it does not comment on causes or intent. See the methodology for the full rules.

KeptIndex is independent. It is not affiliated with any company it covers and does not accept payment to add, change or remove entries.

Holdings policy. No one who extracts, checks or reviews KeptIndex records may hold individual shares, options, bonds or derivatives of a company they work on. Broad diversified funds (index funds and mutual funds the person does not direct) are not treated as an interest. Everyone working on records declares holdings in writing before their first assignment and every quarter, and is not assigned companies they hold. Any exception is recorded and the record is reviewed by someone else.

Intellectual property. KEPT INDEX LLC is preparing a U.S. patent application for parts of its process. No patent has been granted. “Kept Score” is the subject of a trademark application.
